Sudan 1908 1pi Registration envelope, essay colour trial the stamp printed in orange, the colour adopted for the 11/2 envelope.  Endorsed  "11/2" piastre with the stamp values altered to "11/2" in manuscript, the 'REGISTRATION FEE" inscription above the stamp and wording in the corner box both also altered in manuscript, showing the wording used on the issued envelopes.  Unique, from the De La Rue archives.
