Description:
1904 KEVII 1d Postal stationery postcard essay printed in red, the stamp with the country name and value handpainted in Chinese white, affixed to part De La Rue appendix page headed "14th June 1904 Jamaica Regn 50/04". Also another part appendix page dated 15.6.04 and initialed, bearing printed proofs for a postcard and reply card (both halves), all three cards with a printed box for a 1d stamp. This proposed postcard and reply card issue was abandoned, and no postal stationery was issued for the Cayman Islands until 1909. Two unique archival items, ex Edmondson collection and illustrated in "The Postal History of the Cayman Islands" by T. Giraldi and P. McCann.
