Of rectangular form with separate originally hinged cover, the front and back deep green glitter ground very finely and densely painted with a design of a great variety of flowering sprays and perching birds, each side from a different cartoon, in a border of sang-de-boeuf cartouches containing dense floral sprays divided by rosette roundels between black bands of gold floral meander, the gold glitter interior with a bold iris flower together with narcissi and other floral sprays, in red and black borders of gold floral meander, mirror replaced, very slight chipping to corners, lacquer well preserved. 10.3/4 x 7.1/4"
