A Fars brass bowl Persia, 14th Century of rounded form with inverted sides, engraved with a series of cartouches filled with inscriptions in thuluth interspersed by roundels containing enthroned figures with attendants, all on a ground of foliate interlace, the lower register with a band of pendant palmettes and lobed cartouches, ownership inscription to base 24.8 cm. diam.
