A niello silver snuff box signed by Abbas Umara Iraq, first half of the 20th Century of rectangular form with hinged lid on four knop feet, engraved and decorated in niello, the top with the Tomb of Ezra with dhow sailing boat and 'L' monogram to corner, the back panel with scene of the Abu Hanifa Mosque, a caravan of camels and maker's signature to front panel, further Tigris landscapes to end panels, the interior hand-engraved 'Arthur J. Benjamin' 9.5 x 4.9 x 3.5 cm.; 201.6 g.
