Giso Westing

Westing is a German painter who studied from 1975 to 1982 at the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig. His teachers were Alfred Winter-Rust and Lienhard von Monkiewitsch. Member of the German Association of Artists. For his work, he received the Rome Scholarship Villa Massimo (1986/87), the Sprengel Prize (1990) and most recently the SPD Art Prize in 2005. His paintings have been shown in 50 solo and group exhibitions in Germany and abroad.
