Persia, 20th century. Cork wool on cotton, hand-knotted, signed, approx. 167 x 101 cm. Oriental carpet with an ivory-colored ground and rich floral decor of floral tendrils, birds, and stylized plant motifs. The symmetrically structured central field shows an extraordinarily detailed composition in pink, blue, green, and gold tones. The multi-framed border with floral repeat decor harmoniously frames the field. Fringes present, with signature cartouche. With minor age and use-related traces as well as smaller soiling.
