Mexico - World Cup 1970, medal presented to Jack Taylor, the obverse with Jules Rimet trophy between 'Mexico 70' and 'Copa Jules Rimet', the reverse with eagle's head and football motif inscribed 'Mexico 70', and 'IX Campeonato Mundial de Futbol', diameter 5.3cm, 48.6g, in original fitted case with metal plaque inscribed 'La Federación Mexicana de Futbol Asociación A: John Keith Taylor''. The only English official to be selected for the FIFA World Cup in Mexico, Jack Taylor refereed the opening group game between Italy and Sweden and was also the linesman for three further games.
