This stunning print captures the dramatic descent of the Ganga, where Lord Shiva, in all his glory, tames the mighty river in his matted locks to save the earth from destruction. Bhagiratha, shown in deep devotion, performs intense penance to cleanse his ancestors' sins, prompting Ganga's descent. At Brahma's advice, Shiva intervenes, while Parvati, serene and watchful, leans on Nandi, witnessing the divine moment. The contrast between Shiva's fierce stance and Parvati's calm presence adds depth to this powerful scene.
