Teorema (1968) is a landmark film in Italian cinema, with the partnership between Italian diva Mangano and British actor Stamp widely recognised for its intense, symbolic drama - Stamp played the enigmatic 'Visitor' who seduces members of a wealthy family, including the mother played by Mangano. Their performances are central to the film's exploration of social, sexual, and existential themes. Following filming, Silvano and Terence remained close friends, during which time she created this rug for him, which he has referenced in interviews as one of his prized possessions.
