Hurwood purchased the Les Paul from Jonny Buckland after working closely with him for three months in Europe and a month in the US. From late 2004-2005, this guitar travelled with Coldplay on the X&Y tour. According to Hurwood, Buckland used the guitar for several soundchecks, but it never appeared on stage with Coldplay. Billy Duffy of The Cult played this guitar on stage on a couple of occasions in New York. It has also been a back-up Les Paul for Zak Starkey on one occasion, although not played during the gig.
