AN YIXING STONEWARE TEAPOT AND COVER Early Qing Dynasty Of globular form applied with a large circular handle with tail end, set opposite a 'swan-neck' spout, the body applique-decorated on each side with a pair of Buddhist lions depicted frolicking with a brocade ball above a ruyi sceptre and sacred emblem above and below bands of scrolling floral motifs at the foot and shoulder, the handle and spout similarly decorated, the cover surmounted by a knop formed from a naturalistically moulded lion, linked to the handle with a metal chain; fitted box. 19.5cm across (3).
