This series, comprising 66 drawings, depicted contemporary tradesmen and artisans marked as a departure from Bramer's typical oeuvre depicting Old and New Testament scenes, as well as scenes from Antiquity. Only about 15 of Bramer's drawings were translated into Delftware, of which this plate is a rare example.
