David Chytraeus or Chyträus (1530 – 1600) was a German Lutheran theologian, reformer and historian. He was a disciple of Philip Melancthon.
Condition: Good overall - later leather binding (possibly 18th century) - wear and some loss to upper leather covering - firmly bound with solid spine and gilt tiles - period notes in ink on endpaper - handling marks and some age toning - damage to the bottom margins from page 17 to 32 (see images) - insect damage to top margins on most pages (worst shown in images).
Dimensions: 6 3/8" high x 4" wide x 1 1/8" thick
In good overall condition for a book that has survived 465 years.
