The canvas appears to be unlined and the stretcher marks are visible. Craquelure is present across the image with some small paint losses but the surface appears to be otherwise stable. Scattered scratches and some abrasions to the right edge. Inspection under UV reveals some possible areas of retouching, including to the left edge and dotted on the sitter's face. The image presents a discoloured varnish and surface dirt.
