A late 19th century French quarter striking carriage clock The case sumounted by a brass carrying handle over an oval observation window, with moulded top and sides, terminating in a simple plinth base. The 2.75 inch white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and Breguet-style blued steel hands. The twin train movement striking the hours and quarters on a pair of blued steel gongs mounted to the back plate, fitted with a silver lever platform escapement, currently ticking. 18cms (7ins) high.
