A unusual mid 19th century French rosewood one piece case carriage clock Hy Marc, Paris, No.18170 The case surmounted by a brass carrying handle over an observation window set within the wooden case, the sides with glazed observation windows and terminating in a moulded plinth base raised on four block feet, the 2.5 inch white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and gilt hands signed Hy Marc, Paris framed by an engraved and gilt sight ring, the twin train movement with English style lever platform escapement stamped by the maker's name on the backplate and numbered number 18170 striking via an external count wheel on a polished bell currently ticking and striking. 18cms (7ins) high.
