A early 19th century ebonised regency striking table clock John Perigal, London The case sumounted by a brass finial over a pediment top inlaid with brass detailing, the shaped case top with further brass inlay, the sides with brass carrying handles above fish scale brass sound frets backed in red silk, the front of the case decorated with brass inlay with floral designs, terminating in a block base and further raised on four ball feet. The repainted 8 inch white dial with black Roman numerals signed in the centre John Perigal, London with gilt brass hands and strike/silent indicator to the upper section of the dial. The twin train movement with gut fusee now running on steel lines with an anchor escapement, the back plate fully engraved with neoclassical designs centred with a floral urn overflowing with fruit and flowers, striking the hours on a polished bell mounted above, currently ticking and striking. 58cms (23ins) high.
