A small and rare early 19th century fruitwood table clock timepiece with enamel dial and alarm Grant, Fleet Street, London, no. 251 The break arch case surmounted by a ring handle over a cupola and moulded cornice, to brass-inlaid front corners, moulded base and ball feet, glazed panels to the sides (previously ebonised). The 4 inch white enamel dial with dotted minute track framing the black Arabic numerals, signed in a typical upward curve across the centre Grant, Fleet Street London, number 251 with blued steel hands and separate alarm setting hand. The single fusee movement with verge escapement and short bob pendulum with shaped plates with alarm work mounted on the right hand side wound by a separate spring mounted to the back plate currently ticking and with functioning alarm. 26cm (10.5ins) high.
