A large late 19th century ebonised quarter chiming table clock Dent, 33 Cockspur Street, London The moulded break arch top with four large finials to each corner over a plain front, the sides with Corinthian capped columns with brass carrying handles above silk backed brass sound frets, terminating in a moulded base and standing on four ogee shaped brass feet. The 7.5 inch square dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, the matted centre with name plaque signed Dent, 33 Cockspur Street, London with blued steel hands and twin subsidiaries for chime/silent and pendulum rise and fall, all framed by cast brass spandrels. The triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, striking the hours on blued steel gongs and playing the chimes on a nest of four gongs, currently ticking and striking. 53cms (21ins) high.
