A mid 19th century mahogany regulator longcase clock with deadbeat escapement and maintaining power The case with arched hood above a moulded cornice, the front with line inlaid spandrel decoration flanking the circular dial aperture, the trunk with shaped top door veneered in figured mahogany, terminating in a panelled base and standing on shaped bracket feet. The silvered dial with outer Arabic minute chapter, subsidiary seconds dial beneath the 12 o'clock position and subsidiary hour dial above the 6 o'clock position, with blued steel hands. The movement with deadbeat escapement and mantling power united by five pillars. 212cm (85ins) high.
