Description
A striking gold pendant centered with a Victorian shell cameo depicting Hercules, the hero of classical mythology. The cameo is mounted within an elaborate 18K gold setting, featuring a finely sculpted lion-skin helmet in high relief. The eyes of the lion are set with emeralds, while a ruby accent decorates the neckline, adding vivid contrast and richness to the composition.
The combination of classical subject matter and ornate goldwork reflects the Victorian fascination with antiquity and mythological themes. Bearing a “750” gold hallmark. Condition: very good overall, with minor age-related wear.
