FLAT/NINA HAMNETT DESIGNS ROGER FRY 1 COLOUR' (lower edge) watercolour on paper 15 x 20cm (5 7/8 x 7 7/8in). Footnotes: The inscription 'L.V.' refers to Lalla Vandervelde, a British-Belgian activist and patron of the arts. Whilst working at the Omega Workshops, Hamnett and two or three other artists, assisted Fry with decorating and furnishing Vandervelde's Chelsea flat in 1916.
