Three Australian Aboriginal weapons Probably 19th century Comprising a South Australian parrying-shield (mulga), of dark patina and elongated triangular section, the front carved with incised zigzags, and with carved integral grip; a club (leangle), of dark patina with angled head and conical butt; and a boomerang, of dark patina and characteristic form 90cm, 71cm, and 54cm long (3) Footnotes: Provenance Probably collected by Eustace Maxwell. He was a naval officer and son of Lt. Col. Sir William Maxwell of Monreith, 5th Bart. He died in Australia in 1857.
