Jerry Barrett (British, 1824-1906) A collection of nine sketches from Constantinople (including figure studies, street scenes and seascapes) and three sketches from Greece (including two figure studies and a view of the Acropolis), circa 1845 one signed 'Jerry B' (lower right), several bear artist's name and the date '1845' (on album paper below the image), variously inscribed to sheet or to the album paper (recto and verso) watercolour and pencil 25.1 x 17.8cm (9 7/8 x 7in) and smaller all unframed (most mounted on album paper). Together with several 19th century works on paper by various artists including, nine watercolours of figure from Cairo by an Italian hand; two watercolours of Italian figures including a 'Camaldolese' and 'Brigands dividing their booty'; a watercolour in the style of Preziosi of a 'Zuluflu Baltaci'; and one pencil sketch of the interior of 'The Chapel of the Howling Dervishes, Constantinople', various sizes, all unframed.
