Elizabeth II (Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland).- Wilding (Dorothy) Portrait photograph print, signed "Elizabeth R" and dated 1956,taken by the celebrated royal photographer Dorothy Wilding,Dorothy Wilding (1893-1976) was a pioneering British photographer known for her striking, high-key portraits of celebrities and members of the Royal Family. After King George VI's sudden death in February 1952, the new sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II, granted her first official sitting to Wilding just weeks later. The purpose of this sitting was to create official portraits for currency, postage stamps, and diplomatic use.
The item has been recently professionally framed using museum quality perspex and gold ornate framing, the original transcript supplied with the original piece has been carefully added to the modern frame, border mounted.

Auctioneers note: due to age with it being close to 70 years the signature has faded over the years however as pictured is visable and has been verified and indentation still present.
