AN EARLY 17TH CENTURY CARVED OAK COFFER with hinged plank top above a frieze carved with roundels and rosettes, the three-panel front with bold S-scroll and oval-centred motifs divided by guilloche-carved muntins and centred by an iron lockplate, the side stiles with cable carving and the lower rail carved with scrolling foliage, raised on stile feet.

70cm high, 122cm wide, 57cm deep

All original but has worm damage and small losses to the edges of the panels and the top. The hinges are original. The top has a repaired split to the top
