Receiver and buttplate are factory nickel finished. Special order fancy 12 groove slide handle and plain capped pistol grip buttstock of rare birdseye maple. Lower tang is stamped "504 M". Buttstock (under buttplate) stamped "90" with matching assembly number "504". CONDITION: bbl. retains 85% original blue with high edge and muzzle wear along with scattered light freckling, dings and scratches. Receiver and buttplate retain 85% flaking nickel finish with scattered light scratches and blistering. Stock set retains 90% factory varnish. There is a repaired chip at toe along with multiple staple cracks extending forward of buttplate. Very good bore with scattered spots of light pitting; rifling is strong. While no records are available for this serial number range, the combination of half nickel, birdseye maple stock set, plain uncheckered pistol grip combined with its 22 W.R.F. chambering make this rifle a must have for any serious collector.
