Description
(1893 – 1967) German Freikorps leader and organizer of nationalist groups after World War I. He is generally credited with inventing the brown uniforms of the Nazi Party after supplying surplus tropical khaki shirts to early troops of the SA. Present at the Munich Putsch and arrested but spared death in the Night of the Long Knives. Rare signed limitation notice intended to have been included in a Bayreuth-related book (Rossbach was a major backer of the festival), 3.5 x 2.5 in. (sight), matted with a postcard photo. Fine.
