Description

(1880 - 1946) Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, 1940-45. Tuka was one the main forces behind the deportation of Slovak Jews to Nazi concentration camps in Poland, and was executed in 1946 after the fall of his government. Vintage S.P. 5 x 7 in. b/w, a candid showing Jura in discussion with another man, boldly signed at lower right. Heavy mounting traces to verso, else very good.
