World War II German Army leather Medical box for mounted personnel. The box, 8.5 in. wide x 9.75 in. tall x 4.25 in., was used for mounted personnel who would be operating out of a vehicle. This box is for use with a vehicle, and features a stiff hinged leather, top allowing greater access to the interior. Four straps are present, plus a strap on the lid. At top of box opening is blind-stamped 'dny 1943' indicating manufacture by Karl Bollmann & Co., Lederwarenfabrik, Tuttlingen. The interior bears a paper label fastened to the inside of the box, listing the contents (not present). The leather case bears expected stains and scuffs from use, else very good.
