Description
(1860 - 1948) American general "Black Jack" Pershing commanded troops sent to capture Pancho Villa, and later was Commander in Chief of all American forces in Europe in World War I. T.L.S. 1p. 4to., Washington, Oct. 6, 1926, on his ‘General of the Armies’ letterhead to Hon. SOL BLOOM, forwarding an autographed photo. Light wear to edges and one small remain at left, else very good. Sol Bloom (1870-1949) was an impresario and New York politician who created the legendary Midway Plaisance at the 1893 World’s Fair and served in Congress for 14 years.
