Description
(1934 - 2017) Drifter whose 'family' committed the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders in 1969. Fine psychiatric-content A.L.S., 2pp. 4to., [n.p., n.d. but likely Vacaville, Ca. ca. 1976], to a 'Mr. Hall'. Manson mentions 'Count von Brona', his alter ego characterized by Manson as his 'bad self', driven by the fear, death, and anger stemming from his decades behind bars. He writes, in part: '...Well! No one ask you to wright so - Don't wright me ever again...You could let Brona know how you were makeing it. He cryed when he found out you were gone + for 3 days he was mad + I tryed to explain but he woulnt open his eyes an eat + now he dont even like to here your name said an angel came + said Mr Hall was a good guy HUH and Brona started crying like a 13 year old girl + peeded all over himself. I dont know if he likes you or not I dont think hes sure what he thinks Send some pictures or post cards books news papers or you could check out March 24th book from Stern from Germany it has your picture in it...' He signs 'E Z C Manson' with his typical reversed swastika, adding in his postscript: 'Throw this letter away'. Fine. From the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words', Manson's autobiography.
