Large Imperial albumen photograph depicting members of a New Hampshire artillery regiment with their horse-drawn field guns during the Civil War. The image, measuring approximately 16 x 11", shows artillerymen posed with limbers, caissons, horses, and cannon on parade grounds, with military encampments visible in the distance. The photograph is mounted to its original oversized gray mount measuring approximately 22 x 18".

Imperial albumen photographs of this size were among the largest commercially produced photographic formats of the nineteenth century and were often created for presentation or display. Military camp scenes featuring Union artillery units are considerably less common than standard carte-de-visite and cabinet card portraits, providing a detailed record of artillery equipment, horse teams, and encampment life during the Civil War.

Very good condition with expected age toning and light surface wear to the albumen print. The original mount exhibits scattered edge wear, minor corner wear, light handling marks, and some waviness consistent with age. The image retains strong contrast and displays exceptionally well.
