Haise was one of the two primary test pilots selected to fly Enterprise during these historic atmospheric test flights.

Following Apollo, Haise played a key role in the Space Shuttle program and served as one of the principal pilots for the Enterprise Approach and Landing Tests. His contributions span both the Apollo lunar program and the development of the Space Shuttle, making him one of the most significant figures in American spaceflight history.
