Description:  Rare George III Mother of Pearl Hafted Scimitar  Silver Bladed Folding Fruit Knife.
 
The handle is plain, and has an engraved silver Shell Decorated Cap.  There are silver birds eye rivets down the length of the handle.  There is an engraved solid silver spine along the edge of the piece.  The silver blade has the name "Atkins" engraved on it.
 
 The knife dates to around 1773 with the first punch used when the Sheffield Assay Office opened then. 
 
 Length open is 5 Inches.
 
 Condition: Good. Hairline crack to the front handle.  The blade springs in and out of the handle.
