The handles are carved into a chequerboard pattern and inlaid with silver pique work on both sides.

 There is  a plain solid silver the edge of each piece.
 
 Dates to around 1800, and made by Aaron Hadfield.
 
 Length open is 5.75 Inches.
 
 Condition: Good.  Both Blades Spring in and out of the handles.
