The painting presents various scattered retouching , which appears to have not been done professionally and that is visible to the naked eye. Most notably to the left border, near the trees where there is approx. 15cm restoration is present, and in the lower left corner. Further scattered retouching is visible to the figures, across the whole clothes, as well as in the background to the right where patches of loss have been filled with a bluish colour. The medium of the picture appears to be paper laid on a rigid canvas relining.
The painting itself is 53cm high and 76cm wide
