Moviegoers who were too young or not yet born would have a hard time understanding the brouhaha which occurred with the release of the first Star Wars film in 1977 starring Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher. Director and writer George Lucas and the stars themselves were overwhelmed at the reaction, but happily so.
