Offered here is a 1928 W565 Lou Gehrig card. This strip card issue is significant as a distinct late-1920s release featuring Gehrig early in his career with the New York Yankees. Lou Gehrig played 17 seasons for the Yankees, establishing a then-record 2,130 consecutive games played, finishing his career with a .340 batting average, 493 home runs, and two American League MVP awards.

A scarce example, PSA has only graded 59 copies of this hand cut card at the time of cataloguing. Eight cards received a PSA 8 designation with only 11 ever graded higher. This examples lacks visible flaw.
