Kasing Lung

Kasing Lung (b. Hong Kong, 1972) is a Hong Kong-born illustrator, painter, and toy designer whose practice spans children's book illustration, acrylic painting, and collectible figure design. Working between Belgium and Hong Kong, Lung builds a character-driven visual universe rooted in Nordic and Celtic folklore. In 2015 he introduced The Monsters — a cast of characters including the rabbit-eared Labubu, which has been produced in over 300 versions since a 2019 licensing agreement with Pop Mart. Lung is the first Chinese artist to receive Belgium's national Illustration Award. His first Mandarin picture book, My Little Planet, was published in Taiwan in 2013. He has held solo exhibitions internationally, exhibited at Art Basel Hong Kong in 2025, and has original illustrations selling for up to HK$330,200 at auction.
