Description
An Imperial Japanese WWII Arsenal Made "Late War" Type 95 NCO Gunto Katana in good condition with some wear to the blade and moderately loose fittings. The Type 95 NCO Gunto was the standard sword issued to non-commissioned officers of the Imperial Japanese Army from 1935 through World War II. Unlike officers' traditionally forged swords, it featured a machine-made blade, a cast metal hilt designed to resemble traditional wrapping, and a steel scabbard with a locking mechanism. Built for durability and mass production, it served as both a practical sidearm and a symbol of military authority.
