Federal Inlaid Mahogany Tall Case Clock dial signed James Doull (1785-1861), Charlestown, Massachusetts, c. 1805 The bonnet with scrolled and pierced fretwork divided and flanked by reeded plinths surmounted by brass ball finials above a hinged door opening to a painted dial with Roman numeral and Arabic chapter ring, inscribed 'James Doull / Charlestown', the scrolled spandrels with circular dies, a moon phase dial at the arch, above a waisted case centering a rectangular molded door flanked by reeded quarter columns over a box base raised on French feet, 48cm wide, 22cm deep, 233cm high (19in wide, 9 1/2in deep, 92in high).
