A German-made Light Cavalry Officer's Saber, c. 1830, brass hilt with langets, two branches, pommel and back strap, leather covered grip with twisted brass wire wrapping; curved single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and single wide fuller, the blade with etched foliate and martial decoration against a blued background, the ricasso marked 'P. KNECT' and 'SOLINGEN'; brass scabbard with two suspension rings. Blade lg. 32 1/2, overall lg. 37 in. A Bavarian Cuirassier Sword, c. 1860, brass hilt with two branches, pommel cap, leather covered grip with twisted brass wire wrapping (inboard edge of the guard bent upwards); straight single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and two narrow fullers, blade has etched panel inscribed 'IN/TREUE/FEST'.
