A Prussian Model 1889 Enlisted Sword, open work steel hilt with eagle crest, nickel plated pommel cap, molded grip, the hilt with sword knot; straight single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and pipe back, the ricasso marked 'WEYERSBERG/KIRSCHBAUM & CIE/SOLINGEN/GERMANY'; nickel plates steel scabbard with one suspension ring. Blade lg. 32 1/4, overall lg. 38 in. A Heavy Cavalry Sword, brass counter-guard marked '4170' with two branches connecting to the knuckle bow and pommel cap, leather covered grip with twisted brass wire wrapping; straight single-edge blade with false edge at the tip (re-ground), and two fullers, the ricasso with inspector's marks and dated '1891'; steel scabbard with single suspension ring.
