HENRY COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA CONTRACT MUSKET. 44 1/4 in., .73 caliber barrel marked at the breech with a faint eagle's head over 'CT' mark, 'US' stamped on the top of the breech and 'CP132' stamped on the left side of the breech; flat lock plate with pointed tail marked 'J.HENRY/PHILA' and with a spread wing eagle over 'US' below the pan; walnut stock with carved initials 'WPD' on the left side of the butt and stamped on the left side with an illegible cartouche and 'CP132'; iron furniture of proper form; steel rammer with button head and plain end. Overall lg. 59 in. Condition: Iron toned to deep brown, light pitting at the breech; stock has scattered dings and dents and a small chip just forward of the pan area; lock functions properly.
