SHARPS' PAT./OCT. 5TH 1852' and on the left side 'C.SHARPS' PAT./SEPT 12TH 1846'; walnut stock with no visible cartouche; sling bar marked 'A.W.M.', steel butt plate and barrel band. Barrel lg. 22, overall lg. 39 1/8 in. Condition: Barrel toned to brown, frame toned to gray/brown; butt plate has a trace of case color; bright bore with strong rifling, action functions properly.
