Rare WWI German Imperial “Marine Regiment” Hebel Model 1894 26.5mm Signal Flare Pistol

Description

This is a scarce Marine Regiment (navy) stamped flare pistol. On the left side it’s marked “2929 M.R.” And on the right side is Electropenciled “R1666”. You also can see the normal Crown/B, Crown/U, and Crown/S Proof Stamps that are supposed to be on these. The “Circled 4” designates the Caliber, 4 (26.5mm). The word Hebel is German for lever. These are very interesting flare guns. This one is in very good condition with nice patina finish. Visible markings. Nice wood checkered grips. No lanyard ring. Working condition.
