Accepts 37mm Flares | Marked P.T. 2-44 and 1298 below that. Grip says “SKLAR/Los Angelas, Calif” | PT stands for pyrotechnic and it was made February 1944 | 8.25” Barrel | US marked vintage wood box. Box measures 14” x 12.5” x 4.5”. Has an alpha padlock and key. | Built in early 1944, this gun was manufactured right as the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard were ramping up equipment for massive maritime operations, including preparation for the D-Day landings in Europe and the island-hopping campaigns in the pacific.
