Mark David Chapman autographed advance reader's edition of Let Me Take You Down: Inside the Mind of Mark David Chapman, the 1992 work by Jack Jones examining the life and motivations of the man who murdered John Lennon. Chapman has signed the half-title page and dated the inscription "Attica, NY Nov. 9, 1992," while incarcerated at Attica Correctional Facility. An uncommon signed advance reader's copy associated with one of the most infamous figures in modern criminal history.
Light damp staining is present, affecting the signed half-title page and several additional pages. General handling wear to the covers with expected edge and corner wear from use.
Mark David Chapman (b. 1955) gained worldwide notoriety after fatally shooting John Lennon outside The Dakota in New York City on December 8, 1980. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and has remained incarcerated ever since, with repeated parole requests denied.
